Community Watch Alert:

Community Watch received information from the Hillsborough Police Department on Friday, Dec 10th, regarding two (2) break-ins in the neighborhood.  Based on a report called into 911 from an observant neighbor, one of the break-ins occurred around 12:30pm.

According to the Community Watch Police Coordinator, Cpl King, they are looking for three black males driving a small green four door car, believed to be a Mazda. If anyone sees this vehicle or any suspicious vehicle in your area please call 911 immediately. Anyone who may have information please call Investigator John Goodman at (919) 732-9381 ext. 37.

There have been approximately a half dozen break ins in our neighborhood over the past half year.  PLEASE keep vigilant, lock all doors (including vehicles) at all times,  and CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY when you see or hear ANYTHING out of the ordinary!

I encourage you to share this information with others.  If everyone watches out for each other, we can strive to make our neighborhood as safe as possible.

Community Watch Alert - Update:

It is important that we keep an eye out for ANY unusual activity or vehicle, and call 911 just in case (as did the observant neighbor of one of the recent break ins).  That said, Community Watch  received more specific information regarding the vehicle seen at the location of the break in.  If you see this vehicle, PLEASE call 911 IMMEDIATELY and report it as one that may have been involved in the Cornwallis Hills break in.  If possible, noting the license tag will help the investigators and police track the vehicle down.

This is the description from the neighbor who called the police:
The car is as I described it (older model, boxy and with an unusual light green color -- like a sea green). I think it's important that neighbors know exactly what to look for -- particularly because I have seen this car before on our street. Clearly they have been checking routines or have been thwarted from prior attempts.
Thank you for your assistance in keeping our neighborhood as safe as possible!
